IMPORTANT HEALTH ADVISORY:
Over the past few weeks, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Health Service Region 1 (HSR 1) Epidemiology has seen an increase in shigellosis cases in elementary school-age children. Shigellosis is a bacterial disease with primary symptoms of fever, diarrhea (often bloody diarrhea), abdominal cramping, nausea, and vomiting. The disease is very infectious and is spread by fecal-oral transmission.
From the Texas Department of Health:
Children, faculty, or staff that exhibit any symptoms of fever, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, and/or vomiting should not attend school.
Fever and/or diarrheal symptoms MUST subside without use of fever reducing and /or anti-diarrheal medications before returning to the school/daycare.
The HS Football game on Thursday vs. Sands will start at 7:30 PM.
Our high school UIL competitors were given the opportunity to better their skills at the 2024 Student Activities Conference at Texas Tech. They attended workshops and conferences in their independent events. Thank you Mrs. Josey for guiding the students! Pictured are Laryn Jones, Gabriela Varela and Anthony Zaragoza.

Here is the schedule for the District Cross Country meet at LCU on Tuesday October 8th.
