Job Title: Director of Maintenance and Transportation
Location: Wilson ISD, Wilson, TX

Position Overview:

Wilson ISD is seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This position is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment across the district’s schools and administrative buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, systems, and fixtures.

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address safety or maintenance issues.

• Maintain grounds including snow removal, landscaping, and playground upkeep.

• Work with school administration and custodial staff to prioritize and complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner.

• Ensure compliance with district safety procedures and applicable building codes.

• Assist with setup and breakdown for school events or relocations of equipment/furniture.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in general building maintenance or a related trade.

• Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Must pass background checks in accordance with district policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical training in maintenance or related field.

• Valid CDL driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work (a plus but not required).

Job Title: Educational Aide
Location: Wilson Independent School District (ISD)
Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Description:

Wilson ISD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist teachers in supporting student learning, helping with classroom activities, and providing individualized attention to students as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in classroom management and student supervision.

• Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce lessons.

• Help set up classroom materials and organize learning resources.

• Provide support to students with special needs as directed by the teacher.

• Assist with student assessments and record-keeping.

• Help maintain a safe and productive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required.

• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping students succeed.

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
