Good day Wilson Mustangs! I am Brent Scott, your new principal. I have 22 years in education with the majority of that being at Lubbock ISD. I was born and raised in Lubbock and am proud to call The South Plains my home. I attended Monterey High School (class of '85), received my under graduate degree from Texas Tech University and my Master's Degree from Lamar University. My wife, Lea Ann, is a retired school counselor and we moved to Wilson in 2020. We love our families with 10 grandchildren and Texas Tech Baseball /Football. Living on the flat, red earth of West Texas is a special experience that creates amazing people and I am proud to be graced with the experience of serving them.
My background in education has covered special education, Social studies and behavioral specialist. I was an assistant principal for 7 years before being selected to this position. My focus is on students and those who serve them; my goal is to support Wilson teachers and staff so that they can have the greatest impact on the future of your children. To achieve this I will work to create a culture that encourages learning and growth in a climate of safety and fun. I look forward to meeting you and creating relationships that will foster a great experience for you and your students.
